Fairfield County Defeats New Haven County 34-14 in

15th Annual Hall Of Fame Classic

AFTER WINNING 7 OUT OF THE LAST 8 GAMES NEW HAVEN COUNTY FELL TO FAIRFIELD COUNTY 34-14 BEFORE A CROWD OF OVER 2,400 AT KEN STRONG STADIUM AT WEST HAVEN HIGH SCHOOL IN THE 15TH ANNUAL HALL OF FAME CLASSIC ALL STAR GAME. THE GAME WAS POSTPONED FROM FRIDAY JULY 8 TO SATURDAY WHEN HEAVY RAIN WASHED OUT THE GAME. NEW HAVEN SCORED FIRST BUT THE TALENTED COMBINATION OF ST. JOSEPH’S JOE DELLA VECCHIA AND TYLER MATAKEVICH PROVED TO BE TOO MUCH IN THE HARD FOUGHT GAME. NEW HAVE NOW LEADS THE SERIES 10-5.
