1st Anniversary Dave Solomon

ON SATURDAY AUGUST 6 LAST YEAR THE SPORTS WORLD LOST A DEAR FRIEND WHEN NEW HAVEN REGISTER COLUMNIST DAVE SOLOMOM WAS KILLED IN A CAR CRASH ON I-91 NEAR HIS HOME IN MERIDEN. DAVE WAS RETURNING FROM STORRS AFTER COVERING THE UCONN HUSKIES FOOTBALL PRACTICE. I RECEIVED A NOTE FROM HIS WIFE JUDY ABOUT THE LOVE DAVE HAD FOR HIS CAREER AND THE SPECIAL PEOPLE HE CAME TO KNOW AND RESPECT IN THE SPORTS WORLD. I THOUGHT I WOULD PASS IT ON. SHE INDICATED IN A SEPARATE NOTE THAT ANYONE WANTING TO HONOR THEIR MEMORIES OF DAVE THEY COULD SEND A DONATION TO THE DAVE SOLOMON SCHOLARSHIP AT UCONN. I SURE MISS DAVE VERY MUCH. BILL
